Terms & Conditions

 

These terms and conditions apply to all services offered by Budding Vocals. The agreement is made between the student/parent/guardian ( “student”, "parent", “guardian”, "you", "your" “they”) and Budding Vocals ("Budding Vocals", "our", "we", "us") and is valid at all times whilst the student is booked on to any service with us.

These terms and conditions must be accepted via electronic tick-box upon booking your service with us.

​

Enrolling

​

A student's place within any offered service is confirmed to you by way of email confirmation after Budding Vocals receives payment. Places on any service offered by Budding Vocals is on a first come, first served basis only. Thereafter, students will be added to a waiting list.

​

Fees

​

For services offered on a termly basis, fees should be paid upfront at the time of booking prior to the commencement of the term. If a student is starting mid-way through a term, the price is adjusted accordingly. For a single one-off class, the fee is paid up front at the time of booking, prior to the commencement of the class. For block bookings of single classes, fees are paid upfront at the time of booking for the entire block, prior to the commencement of the class that comes first within the block. For 1:1 sessions, fees are paid per session in advance, unless prior arrangement has been made with us to pay on the day.

Sibling discount


Sibling discount is offered to siblings aged 16 and under only. Sibling discount is not offered for 1:1 sessions.
If notified prior to booking, sibling discounts are available by way of discount code. The parent/guardian should notify Budding Vocals via email to request their unique discount code. Budding Vocals reserves the right to terminate a child’s place without refund if it is found the sibling discount code has been misused. Examples of misusing the discount code include but are not limited to, using it to book another child who is not a sibling of your child and sharing the discount code with others. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the discount code at any time.

Cancellations and refunds

​

You have the right to cancel and receive a refund within 14 days of booking your service. Your cancellation request must be made in writing and sent to info@buddingvocals.com. Refunds requested after this cooling off period of 14 days will not be granted.

​

If the service you have booked commences less than 14 days after you have made your booking, you still have the right to request a refund within the aforementioned 14 day cooling off period however Budding Vocals reserves the right to deduct the price of the sessions that have passed during that time, irrespective of whether the student has joined the session/s or not.

​

If a student misses a session, they have the right, if the option is available, to attend an alternative session on a different date/time. Should an alternative option be unavailable, or the alternative option is unsuitable, a refund will not be granted.

​

Should a student be unable to attend part of the way through a term after the term has commenced, they have the right, if the option is available, to attend an alternative session of the same value on a different date/time. Should an alternative option be unavailable, or the alternative option is unsuitable, a refund will not be granted.

 

In rare instances beyond our control, it may be necessary to change the date/time/location/teacher of a session. If the amended date/time/location is unsuitable for the student, a full refund for this session will be granted.

 

If a session has to be cancelled by Budding Vocals, an alternative will be offered however if an alternative is unavailable, a full refund for the cancelled session will be granted. In the unlikely event of any last minute cancellations, contact information provided to Budding Vocals at the time of booking will be used to notify you. We may also utilise social media to reach you.

Refunds are subject to the deduction of the booking fee. The booking fee is collected by our payment provider and therefore is strictly non-refundable. Should Budding Vocals cancel a session however, a refund including the booking fee will be granted.

​

Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.

​

Health and Safety

​

At the time of booking, parents and guardians have the opportunity to advise of 'any information you feel we need to know about your budding singer'. This includes but is not limited to, student allergy information, disabilities, current or reoccurring injuries, medication a student carries etc. We welcome all information to help us keep our students as safe and as comfortable as possible during their time with Budding Vocals.

 

At the time of booking, a required field is the parent or guardian’s telephone number. This telephone number will be used in the event of an emergency or in the event of a student becoming unwell and it is solely the parent/guardian's responsibility to ensure this telephone number is correct and available for contact.

​

Material

​

“Material” refers to the music, arrangements of songs, recordings and any other forms of music or artistry provided to students during sessions or via sharing portals. All material provided to students is the property of Budding Vocals and is under no circumstances to be shared by students or their parent/guardian to other organisations, individuals, or any other external third parties. Budding Vocals’ material is under no circumstances to be performed in part or full within other organisations or for live or recorded (audio and/or visual) performances. All material provided to or taught to students belongs explicitly to Budding Vocals.

Safeguarding

​

Budding Vocals have put Safeguarding protocols in place across all sessions. A copy of our Safeguarding Policy can be found on our website.

​

Parents/guardians of under 18 students should accompany their child to the toilet prior to sessions. Toilet breaks are prohibited during sessions that take place on shared premises or where parents/guardians are permitted to wait in an area that is accessible to the toilets.

​

Photography and Videography

​

Students participating in classes (excluding 1:1’s)  will be subject to photography and videography. At the time of booking, you (the parent/guardian or adult student) are required to confirm via tick-box as to whether you are happy for your child/you to be photographed and/or filmed. Un-ticking this box does not waiver our right to photograph and/or film a student in sessions. However it does ensure that any footage taken of the student in sessions will be edited (cropped/blurred etc) until it is deemed that the student is unrecognisable.

 

Any child or adult student participating in performances of any kind will be subject to photography and videography (which will not be edited to remove said participant). You, the adult student or parent/guardian should take this in to account before participating or allowing your child to participate in performances.

​

Personal Property

​

Students are responsible for all personal items brought to sessions.

​

Food and Drink

​

Food of any kind, including sweets and chewing gum is not permitted at any of our under 18 sessions. Students are encouraged to bring ample amounts of water to ensure good vocal quality and hydration.

​

General

​

Budding Vocals reserves the right to refuse a student entry to any of its sessions if it is felt the student's behaviour is unacceptable. Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to the disruption of learning for other students, bullying and disrespectful behaviour towards class leaders and their peers. In such cases, refunds will not be granted.

​

In the event of force majeure, Budding Vocals reserves the right to make changes to the timetable and/or teaching staff. Budding Vocals also reserves the right to change the delivery of a term/session/one-off booking during events beyond our control. For example, sessions could go from face-to-face classes, to sessions held via an online platform such as Zoom.

​

All students must be collected on time after sessions. Budding Vocals operates back-to-back sessions and late collections can impact session start times. Repeat offenders may be refused entry at the discretion of the Budding Vocals Leader.

​

Free tasters must be booked in advance via our website or by emailing us. The student must be within the correct age range for the class they wish to attend. The student must not have attended a Free Taster previously or attended any other service offered by budding Vocals.

 

Competition winners: Missed sessions cannot roll over and sessions cannot be used in exchange for other services offered by Budding Vocals or exchanged for their monetary value. Prizes offered to charities are intended for new students only.

​

Any discounts offered by Budding Vocals must be used at the time of booking. Retrospective discounts or refunds of the difference will not be granted.

​

Students booking midway through terms may or may not be permitted to perform at potential upcoming performances. This will depend on the student’s ability to catch up and will be solely at the class leader’s discretion as to whether they feel the student will be ready for the performance.

​

Clothing

The wearing of Budding Vocals’ T-shirts are encouraged during sessions but not compulsory. However, in order for a student to participate in a public or closed performance of any kind, a Budding Vocals T-shirt must be purchased in advance of the performance and worn accordingly.

​
